Protecting Your Property and Assets from Potential Risks

Although you may have access to online documents to prepare an estate plan on your own, it can be easy to make a mistake. These mistakes can cost you a substantial amount of money, time and jeopardize your family’s future once you are gone. We help our clients plan for the preservation and distribution of their wealth through the use of trusts, wills, powers of attorney and other legal documents. We offer detailed individualized plans that fit each client’s needs.

Why is Estate Planning Beneficial?

Estate Planning is the most effective method of carrying out your wishes and protecting those you care about the most. An estate plan can protect your loved ones, minimize tax spending, provide you with the proper health care treatment and determine who will receive your inheritance.  With a well thought-out estate plan, you may also be able to avoid the probate process or a conservatorship and still be able to receive Medi-Cal benefits.

Trust and Probate Administration

We guide trustees, executors and administrators through the process of administering a decedent’s trust or estate, giving our clients peace of mind at what can be a very emotional time.

We also work to help protect the interests of our clients who are heirs or beneficiaries by advising them of their legal rights and representing them in litigation if necessary.  If your family is seeking strong legal representation to protect your rights at a probate hearing, our team has the courtroom experience you can rely on.

Trust and Will Litigation

Under the direction of attorney Vincent W. Davis, our trial attorneys are seasoned litigators. We understand the probate court process and are extremely experienced and knowledgeable about dispute resolution.  If your family is involved in a trust or will dispute or litigation following the death of an estate holder, put our experience on your side.

A conservatorship is a protective court proceeding, designed to protect someone the court or a family member believes is vulnerable and/or incapable of managing his or her own affairs. The conservatees are often older people with limitations caused by aging, but they may also be for younger people who have serious impairments due to auto accidents or a developmental disability.

Conservatorship documents must be filed in a very particular format, people must be served according to special rules and deadlines, and everything must follow the court’s timetable. The smallest omission or error will cause the conservatorship process to delay.

At the Law Offices of Vincent W. Davis and Associates, our attorneys will stand by you throughout the entire conservatorship process.
